Eversole, Lay, Powers, and Rupp are our first spring Athletes of the Week of the year.
Please join me in recognizing our Wings on Brookwood Athletes of the Week for the BIG BLUE. This is our first round of the spring.
Elijah Lay -- A senior on the swim team, was a recipient of the Reagan Vanoss Spirit Award from the Purple Monkey Project. This award is presented to a student who displays exemplary sportsmanship, spirit and representation of their school. Elijah is a great student who personifies this award. He is also a member of the track team and hopes to break the school record for the pole vault this season
Kaleb Powers - Kaleb is a senior on the baseball team, He is off to a great start to his senior year. In his first 2 games of the season, Kaleb had 5 hits, including 2 doubles, a triple and a HR. He had 5 RBI's and 3 stolen bases in those 2 victories over Edgewood and Middletown. Kaleb will be an integral part of the team's success this season.
Peyton Eversole - Peyton is a sophomore on the softball team. She had a great first week of the season going 3 for 5, with a double to lead off the 7th against Harrison to get the team rolling for 3 runs to take the lead and get the win. She also had 2 RBI's and 2 runs scored. In the field, at 3rd base, she has 3 putouts and 3 assists. Peyton is off to a great start early in the season.
Alivia Rupp -- Alivia is a junior on the softball team. In Big Blue's 2 wins in the first week, she went 3 for 6. This included 2 doubles and 3 runs scored against St Ursula. She also had 1 RBI and a stolen base. She is a leader in the outfield who controls center field. Alivia had a great sophomore season and we are hoping she continues to grow as a leader and solid hitter.
