Moak throws complete game shutout
MICHAEL DOLE

After being rained out over the weekend, Hamilton Baseball was able to host Opening Day on Monday afternoon at Stang Field and Junior Clint Moak open the season with a complete game shutout against Oak Hills. Moak gave up four hits while striking out nine Highlanders.

Hamilton scored in the bottom of the fourth inning when Cournell Bennet-McCoy led the inning off with an HBP. Bennet-McCoy was force out at second on a ground ball hit by Jordan Zapata. Zapata stole second, then reached third on a pass ball. A couple of pitches later, Moak lifted a fly ball to deep right field to plate Hamilton's only and winning run.

Cournell Bennett-McCoy had Big Blue's only hit of the night in the 6th inning.

Big Blue returns to action on Wednesday as they travel to Oak Hills.
