Softball off to a 3-0 start

Big Blue pick up a couple of GMC victories

Big Blue softball open the week with an 8-5 victory over Oak Hills. Sophomore Emili Schappacher went the complete game for Hamilton, surrendering five hits, one earned run, and striking out eleven Highlanders. 

At the plate, Schappacher and Alivia Rupp each collected two hits for Hamilton, while Schapopahcer added two RBI's and a double. Gracie Halter, Peyton Eversole, Sierra Hoyte, Chelbie Said, and Reese Thieken each added one hit.

Hamilton defeated Middletown on Wednesday, 12-2. Emili Schappacher earned the victory on the mound. Where she went four innings, giving up four hits and striking out seven Middies. Sierra Hoyte came in to finish the game and recorded four strikeouts while giving up two hits. 

Hamilton had twelve hits during the game, Hoyte and Reese Thieken each collected three hits. Thieken also had four RBI'S, a double and a homerun. Hoyte had a similar stat line with three RBI's, a double and a homerun. Chloe Jones added two hits while Gracie Halter, Heather Krause, Taylor Lawson, and Schappacher each collected one hit.

Big Blue improved to 3-0 on the season, and 2-0 in the GMC. Hamilton travels to Lakota West on Thursday.
