Track and Field competes at Ross

Platt, Shepherd, and King all with first place finishes at Ross. 

Hamilton Boys and Girls Track Field Team traveled to Ross All-Comers Meet. The Boys team finished 4th overall, while the girls were 5th. 

Leading the way for the girls were:

  • Junior Makayla Platt, who placed first in the 100 hurdles. 
  • Sophomore Bailey Carr placed 7th in the 100 hurdles.
  • 4x100 relay team finished 5th
  • Sophomore Danity Sims finished 2nd the 300 hurdles
  • Freshman London Pope finished 3rd in the 300 hurdles
  • Freshman Abigail Gomez placed 8th in the 800 run
  • Freshman Olivia Thompson placed 7th in the 200 meter dash
  • Senior Kaylin Washmuth placed 3rd in the long jump, 4th in the high jump, and 5th in the pole vault.
  • Sophomore Danity placed 5th in the long jump
  • Sophomore Brookelyn Murrell placed 6th in the long jump

On the Boys Side:

  • 4x100 team placed first
  • Junior RJ Shepherd placed first in the 200 meter dash
  • Junior Noah King placed 1st in the 100 meter dash and 2nd in the high jump.
  • Senior Mason King placed 2nd in the 110 high hurdles and 8th in the 100 meter dash.
  • Senior Javon McClain placed 4th in the 200 meter dash and 8th in the long jump.
  • Junior Landyn Pope placed 3rd in the 100 meter dash.
  • Sophomore Mason Holbrook placed 2nd in the shot put and 3rd in the discus.
  • Sophomore Jordan Ash tied for 4th in the high jump.

Big Blue with a short turn around as they travel to Edgewood today.
