Congratulations to this week's Wings on Brookwood Athletes of the Week. We are in the final push of our winter season, and we continue to see some great things from our athletes!

Oscar Rivera - Oscar is a Junior on the Academic Quiz Team, and a newcomer. He has fit right into the Academic Quiz Team as an anchor on JV, and has shown great potential in assisting the Varsity team.  He has grown as the season has progressed and worked hard at getting better and better! Oscar will need to take on a larger role next season to keep the AQT team rolling.

Lexie Senger - Lexie is a senior on the varsity cheer squad. Head Coach Kayla Rodgers described her as a "role model and leader in the cheer program for the past 4 years. She has committed her time to football, basketball and competitive cheer which is close to a year round commitment. She is loved and looked up to by underclassmen which speaks volume about her character and leadership." Kayla, the squad, and the athletic department thank you for your dedication to this program. You will truly be missed! 

Keagan Glomb -  Keagan is a sophomore on the bowling team. He rolled over 200 in 10 games this season. He was consistent all year, ending with a 180 average. He was named 2nd team All GMC last week by the league coaches. We will be looking to him as a leader in the next few years with our bowling team. He is a great representative of a BIG BLUE student athlete holding a 4.15 GPA.

Elijah Jones -  Elijah is a junior on the boys basketball team. In his last 3 games he has scored 17(Middletown), 16(Sycamore) and 20(Fairfield). During this span he is 17-29 from the field, including 12-17 from the 3 point line. Elijah is definitely peaking at the right time for the BIG BLUE and is taking on more leadership on the court. His athleticism allows him to make things look very easy. He is also a standout on the FB team. He currently holds a 3.3 GPA.  We will be looking for him to finish his junior year strong and have an even stronger senior campaign.
