Navey and Ollis earn this week's Wings on Brookwood Student-Athlete of the Week.
Our fall seasons have all come to a close except our BIG BLUE football team. Please join me in congratulating the following Wings on Brookwood Athletes of the Week. Make sure to support Wings on Brookwood. They do so much for our student athletes.
Senior Cairon Navey is a member of the Big Blue Football team. Last Friday, in our home playoff victory, Cairon had 4 receptions for 66 yards. For the season, Cairon averaged over 10 yards per catch. He was in the top 30 in the GMC with 16 receptions for 167 yards. He is a true team player who is committed to do whatever he is asked to help the team win. His senior leadership will be needed as the team continues their playoff run.
Senior Luke Ollis is a member of the Big Blue Football team. Luke recorded 5 tackles, 3 for a loss, in the season finale against Sycamore. He has also recovered 2 fumbles on the season. Luke is a hard nosed football player that is always looking to make contact to open up a space for our running back on offense, and on defense he has a nose for the ball and is always around the play. Luke leads by example and is 100% bought into the Big Blue, especially in the weight room with Coach Speziale. He has developed into a great player during his time here.
