Asher, Litman, Malone, and Steele are this weeks Wings on Brookwood Athletes of the week.
The Big Blue Athletic Department would like to congratulate the following Wings on Brookwood Athletes of the Week:
Tayley Asher -- Tayley, a junior, is a member of the Girls wrestling team. Tayley won the Centerville wrestling invitational and finished 4-0, winning her weight class in the GMC event. She is one of the team captains and puts in a great deal of extra work to master her sport. Her leadership is putting our girls team in great shape moving into postseason action. We are excited to see what the future has in store for Tayley
Mason Malone -- Mason, a junior, is a member of the boys basketball team. Mason has been a positive teammate and has shown improvement throughout the season. He has seen action in 14 varsity games this season, and scored 9 points in a win over Edgewood. We expect him to help the team finish strong and get ready for the postseason. Mason's current weighted GPA is 4.413. He is a true example of a student-athlete.
Asieyha Litman -- Asieyah, a junior, is a member of the girls basketball team. She splits time between the JV and Varsity teams. She has seen action in 10 varsity games so far. She is the strongest athlete in the program and continuously pushes herself to get better. Coach George applauds her willingness to put the time and effort in to improve her skills. She is a good leader, and we look forward to her having a big role her senior year.
Liam Steele -- Liam, a sophomore, is a member of the Academic Quiz Team. Liam has been one of the best players this year for the Big Blue! He started practicing directly after last season and that extra time has shown up greatly in this year's matches. Liam is one of the biggest reasons that the Academic Quiz Team has an 11-3 record and is on the cusp of having the best season in the history of the Hamilton Academic Quiz Team!!
These 4 student athletes are great representatives of the BIG BLUE. Please congratulate them on their successes and all they do for Big Blue Athletics.
Thanks and as always GO BIG BLUE!
