Congratulations to our newest Wings on Brookwood Student-Athletes of the Week for the 2026-2027 School year. 

Nyla Markowski, Senior (Volleyball)

Coach Reister on Nyla: “Nyla has had an incredible last few games. Her serving has been outstanding, and her ability to stay engaged on the bench, read the court, and help her teammates shows the kind of leadership that makes a difference. She is always looking for ways to support her team, and that leadership does not go unnoticed.” 

Julia Roark,Senior(Cheerleading)

“Senior Julia Roark is a leader on the sideline. I appreciate her willingness to continuously call chants throughout games, helping keep the team active, positive, and engaged in the game. I also admire Julia’s ability to push through adversity. She is the type of athlete who shows up for her teammates and does whatever it takes to support her team. Her dedication, resilience, and leadership do not go unnoticed.”  Coach Henderson 

Franco Flores, Senior (Soccer)

Big Blue Boys Soccer picked up two victories this past week, defeating Colerain 3-0 and Ross 2-0. Senior Franco Flores contributed an assist in the win over Colerain before scoring the opening goal in Saturday night’s victory over Ross. 

Ashley Ambrocio, Senior (Soccer)

Senior midfielder Ashley Ambrocio (#10) had a standout performance on Thursday, August 27, scoring two goals in Big Blue’s 9-0 victory over Northwest High School. Ashley was dominant in the attacking third and added two steals to help keep possession and the pressure on offensively. Her leadership and impact on the field played a key role in the team’s impressive victory.
