Fields, Murrell, Roy, and Schappacher are this weeks Wings on Brookwood Athletes of the Week.
Spring season is here and we are proud to announce our first Student Athletes of the week, presented by Wings on Brookwood, for the spring.
Brookelyn Murrell is a senior on the track team. She won the 400-meter dash at Ross with a time of 1:02.48 and took second in the 200-meter dash in 27.54 seconds.
Emili Schappacher is a senior on the softball team. She is off to a great start this season. As a pitcher, she recorded her 500th career strikeout on March 31st versus Oak Hills and at the plate she notched her 100th career hit against Middletown on April 6th. In the GMC, she is leading the league in batting with a .650 batting average.
Asher Roy is a sophomore on the baseball team. In his first start of the season, Asher picked up the victory against Western Hills. He recorded 10 strikeouts, gave up only one hit and walked zero. The Big Blue will be looking for him to be a leader on the mound all season.
Landon Fields is a senior on the baseball team. In his last appearance on the mound, he picked up the win against Lakota East. He struck out seven, walked one and gave up just three hits in his 6 innings on the mound. So far on the year, through two appearances, he has an 0.00 Earned Run Average. He is definitely a senior leader the Big Blue needs on the mound moving through the rest of the season.
